Scrapbook Super Sale FAQs

Hi everyone!

With the Scrapbook Super Sale just around the corner, we thought we would answer some of your most frequently asked questions to help things run as smoothly as possible. The video below also includes a couple of sneak peeks at items that will be available in the sale!

Why do you have the Anna Griffin Scrapbook Super Sale?
The Super Sale is something that we do each year to say thank you to all of our amazing fans! It’s an exclusive chance to get your hands on current, sold out or discontinued Anna Griffin crafting collections at their absolute lowest prices ever! If you love Anna Griffin products, this is one event you cannot afford to miss. There will be more than 100 items up for grabs!

When will this year’s Super Sale take place?
The Super Sale begins Monday, December 1st (Cyber Monday) at 12:00 p.m. EST and will run through Tuesday, December 2nd at 9 p.m. EST. That is, of course, unless everything sells out early!

Where is the sale hosted?
Just before the sale begins, we will send out an email newsletter with a link that you will need to start shopping. We will post the same link on our Facebook and Twitter pages. If you are not signed up for our email newsletter, visit and enter your email address at the bottom of our home page in the box provided.

What do I need to do to participate?
To participate in the sale, you will need an Amazon account and a valid form of payment. If you are not registered for a free Amazon account, click here: You can set up your billing address, shipping address and form of payment in advance so checkout is a breeze on sale day!

Why do I need an Amazon account?
We decided to transition to Amazon last year to help the sale run more smoothly. We made the switch because Amazon handles flash sales each and every day. We went with the very best!

What are the shipping charges associated with my purchases?
There are no shipping charges for items purchased during the Super Sale. Items are shipped in the order that they are received, and multiple orders placed by the same customer will ship complete.

I participated in the sale last year, and items were removed from my cart before I had a chance to purchase. How can I avoid this?
Unfortunately many of the items featured in the sale are available in very limited quantities. If you place one of these items in your cart and continue shopping, the item may sell out during that time and will consequently be removed from your cart. The Super Sale follows the same rules as the site, where items must be purchased and checkout must be completed before that item is reserved.

Do you ship internationally for the Super Sale?
We do not. Items may only be purchased by customers in the U.S.

Will I receive a free gift with my purchase?
A free gift is included for orders over $50 or more. Limit one free gift per customer. The free gift cannot be returned or exchanged.

Can I make returns?
Items purchased in the Super Sale cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason. Please note that product configurations may vary from original format.

We hope this helps clear up any questions you may have about the upcoming Super Sale. If you have additional questions, feel free to comment below.

Happy shopping!

Holiday Metallic Layers Embossing Techniques

Good morning from chilly Atlanta!

We’re back with another fun holiday paper crafting tutorial, and this one celebrates the exciting return of our Holiday Metallic Layers to! So many of you have been asking when this collection would be back, and we recommend picking up a couple of sets before they disappear again:

holiday metallic layers

We are in a very silver and gold mood this week, but you can use any of the colors in this pretty palette to achieve the same gorgeous results you’ll see today.

A  simple tone-on-tone inked embossing effect will take your card layers to a whole new level. We used the Poinsettia and Holly folder from our Christmas Arrangements Collection ( and our new Christmas ink pads. Good news- these ink pads are back on!

Simply apply ink to the inside of the embossing folder using a rubber brayer. We used our silver shimmer paper and Luminous Gold ink pad, and chose to use the side of the folder with the raised poinsettia image (the side without the Anna Griffin/Cricut logos!).

Insert the paper, make your “sandwich” (A plate, B plate, embossing folder, 2nd B plate) and run through your Cuttlebug.

Just like that you have a beautiful background for a card that just needs simple embellishing!

You can also try inking the other side of the folder- the result is the look on the left.

debossed vs embossed

It is so fun to experiment with this technique! Here are a few other options we tried with gold and silver.

Isn’t this fun? And don’t worry, cleanup is a breeze. Simply use soap and warm water or a baby wipe to clean your folders when you’re finished.

Comment and tell us what other color combinations and embossing folders you want to try with this technique!

Hope you have fun!

Beautiful in the Making: Gift Wrap Stamps

Hi there!

We’re back with another fun holiday project to get you inspired for the upcoming Christmas season. This week it’s all about our new Gift Wrap Clear Stamps that are back on for a limited time:

Gift Wrap Stamps

These 30 clear stamps are the gift that keeps on giving! You can choose any design and turn it into a theme for your presents from the wrapping paper, to the greeting card, to the gift tag! Today we’ll show you just one of the many ways you can utilize this versatile collection.

Let’s start with the gift wrap! We paired the pinecone stamp with the Luminous Gold ink pad (from our latest set of Christmas inks) on kraft paper to achieve this particular effect. Stamping the pine cone back to back to create a cluster of 6 pinecones produces a really pretty result on gift wrap.

A tag for your gift can be made with the tag stamp art included in the set. We stamped with red ink on ivory card stock and trimmed around the stamped image with a craft knife.

Next we cut a 4.75” x 6.75” card layer from the kraft paper and used the same stamp and gold ink to create a pinecone border. Three pinecones stamped at the top and three more at the bottom. They look really beautiful!

Then, take a winter white ink pad (we used our Snowy White color) to stamp a sentiment in the middle. We chose “Peace, Love and Joy” but any of them work great!

Then, for a little something extra, we dabbed the ink pad along the border to give it a distressed effect. Layer on a card base, add some red twine and ta-da!

These are so fun and easy to use. Try different color combinations and stamped designed on place cards, gift tags and more!

Beautiful in the Making: Ornament Dies

Hi friends!

It’s time to get creative for the fast-approaching holiday season! By popular request, today we will take a closer look at the beautiful Ornament Cutting Dies from Anna Griffin and Cricut.

These dies are stunning when cut, embossed and used as embellishments on their own, but we thought we’d show you a more detailed technique that’s easy to achieve. These simple extra steps will result in a “wow” moment!

ornament dies 1

This card started with a red card base from our Perfect Palette cards and layers, gold holly paper from our new Christmas cardstock and a border sticker from our Holiday Foil borders collection (we cut one of the borders in half and used it at the top and bottom). You can still find all of these items on for a limited time!

Then, cut a 3×4”sheet of metallic gold cardstock and emboss with a festive design of your choice. We are trying the Dancing Holly folder from our Christmas Arrangements bundle for today’s demonstration so you can see how it looks with a variation.

gold embossed piece

Now we’re going to create layered ornaments! Die cut and emboss one sheet of red cardstock and die cut one sheet of green cardstock using the Ornament Dozen die. If you are new to this technique, check out our last post on the Bow Dies for a great instructional video.

You’ll want to keep the green die in tact the best you can, so don’t punch out all of the interior pieces of the ornament like you will on the red one. It’s okay if a couple of them fall out!

green die cut

You can layer the green and red die and stop there, or if you want a little extra sparkle then you’ll love this next step!

Cut four ¼”x 4” strips of gold metallic paper. Lay your green die down, adhere the gold paper with foam dots (as shown below) and then adhere the red die cut piece to the top with regular adhesive.

gold strips

Trim the center two ornaments out to create a frame and adhere to the gold embossed layer.

Embellish with a Christmas sentiment and voila- a beautiful card that anyone would be thrilled to receive this season (and it’s not too bulky for the postman!)

That’s all for today. Comment below and tell us other holiday projects would you like to see here on the blog! We always love your feedback and suggestions.

Happy crafting,
