Hi everyone, happy Friday!
Now, on to part two of our hand finished cards post. Do you have our Christmas Pop Up Card Making Kit? So many of you have this in your craft closet and we thought we would provide a little inspiration from this kit! If you don’t have this kit already, you can get it here! This set makes a whopping 50 amazing 3D pop up cards! In total you have over 600 festive pieces to play with to make Christmas, Hanukkah or any other holiday card.
For our card we will start by using the dark red card, the dark red interior piece (already cut for you), the Joy to You sentiment, the This Christmas Dear Friend sentiment, 3 large gold foil ornaments, 3 small gold foil ornaments, 4 holly sprigs, 2 gold foil snowflakes, a double snowflake (larger gold), another double snowflake (larger white) and a tape runner.
First, place the interior piece inside the card, making sure that the center support is the tallest. Align it with the sides, leaving an even border on each side. Next, close just the interior and add your adhesive . Close the card and press down to secure. Repeat the process on the bottom side. Doing this step one side at a time ensures that you don’t have anything sticking together.
Layer your gold foil snowflake die cuts, and using tape runner and secure to the inside top of the card.
Next, layer the ornaments as shown making sure that there is no extra adhesive peeking out.
Add the ornament clusters to the pop up supports as shown. Also run your tape runner on the back of the “This Christmas Dear Friend” sentiment and place on the left support.
Add the “Joy to You” sentiment to the front of the card, and add two sprigs of holly to both sentiments with the tape runner.
There you have it! A beautiful pop-up card that anyone would be thrilled to have!
Want a few more ideas? Of course you do! Have fun crafting this weekend!
