How to Series: Beribboned Dies

Hi there!

Today, we’re going to show you how to use the Beribboned Frame Dies that we showed on HSN in January! These incredible cutting patterns are the crème de la crème of our dies! Top notch! What’s beautiful about this set is that they are inspired and modeled after gorgeous ribbon and you can even thread ribbon through the cut outs. There are so many ways that you can create with these, so let’s make a card together!

MATERIALS

  • Anna Griffin® Gold Cricut Cuttlebug™ Version 3   522-138
  • Anna Griffin® Ivory Cards & Envelopes   505-052 – 1, 5”x7” Folded Card
  • Anna Griffin® 5”x7”Metallic Card Layers   395-630 – 3, Gold 5”x7” Cardstock Layers 1, 5”x7” Layer, Cut 1, 4”x6” Layer and 1, 3.25”x3.25” Layer
  • 1, 12”x12” Red Cardstock Cut to 5”x7” Layer and 3.75”x5.75” Layer
  • Anna Griffin® Love & Easter Dies   522-176 – Flower Die
  • Anna Griffin® Ornamental Frame Dies   457-839 – Beribboned Frame Die
  • Anna Griffin® Love & Easter Embossing Folders   522-177 – Wildflower Blooms Folder
  • 1, Sentiment Embellishment
  • 4, Flower Stickers
  • Gold Ink Pad
  • Anna Griffin® Tool N One – Foam Ink Dauber
  • Double-sided Adhesive (Tape Runner)
  • Foam Adhesive

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Adhere 5”x7” red layer to the folded ivory card base with double-sided adhesive.

2. Die cut 5.5”x7.25” gold layer with Beribboned Frame die. Attach to card base with double-sided adhesive.  

3. Center and attach 4”x6” gold layer to base with double-sided adhesive.

4. Emboss 4”x6” red layer with the Wildflower Blooms folder. Lightly ink embossed area with gold ink pad using foam dauber. Center and attach to card base with double-sided adhesive.

5. Die cut gold layer with the flower die. Attach to left side of card approximately 1.25” down from top with double-sided adhesive.

6. Approximately .25” from bottom of card adhere sentiment with foam adhesive.

7. Adhere flower stickers on both sides of sentiment with double-sided adhesive.

Here is the finished product! Anyone would be thrilled to receive this beauty!

Speaking of beauty, we just had to share this incredible flower-filled basket of gorgeous that Sue Kurdt sent to our office. Everyone here at Anna Griffin Inc. oohed and ahhed over how creative Sue is! She used her Cricut to cut scanned flowers and bows and our new Pocket Dies for the base! Sue, this is so appreciated and was perfect for celebrating the first day of spring!

Monday is going to be a big day! We have our first Product Preview for May 9th, our last Weekly Craft Wonder and another tutorial to start off the week! This week is also the last week of National Craft Month, and there are 7 more grab bags to be given out for participation! Keep sharing those amazing projects! How to Series: Trelliage Card

Hi everyone, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

A big thank you to all of you who joined us last Tuesday for our appearances on HSN! The next big Craft Day is going to be May 9th, and previews will start soon. We have some wonderful new products in store for you, and we can hardly wait!

We are continuing our series of tutorials in honor of National Craft Month today. Here we make the garden come to life with our Trelliage Folders, Dies and Die cut Embellishments on a beautiful card. What is more perfect than a handmade card to say “Best Wishes” to a friend or family member? Let’s make this project, inspired by Anna’s garden planter boxes together!

 

 

Trelliage Planter Box Card

Materials:

  • Anna Griffin® Gold Cricut Cuttlebug™ Version 3   522-138
  • Anna Griffin® Craft Essential Tool Set   442-864 – Craft Knife and Cutting Mat
  • Anna Griffin® Pretty Paintings Card Kit   395-651 – 1, 5”x7” Folded Card
  • 1, 5”x7” Light Blue Cardstock Layer
  • Anna Griffin® 5”x7” Metallic Layers   395-630 – 1, Gold 5”x7” Cut to 2.25”x2.5”
  • Anna Griffin® Trelliage Die & Folder Set   522-146 – Large Rectangle Die and Flower Box Die
  • Anna Griffin® Trelliage Die Cuts & Sentiments   522-286, 2 Large and 1 Single Hollyhock Floral Die Cut
  • 2, Sentiments
  • Anna Griffin® 100-Piece Perfect Bows Assortment  430-694 – Blue Bow
  • Foam Adhesive

Instructions:

  1. Die cut the light blue cardstock layer with the large rectangle die. Adhere to card base with double-sided adhesive.

2.Die cut and emboss gold layer with the flower box die.

3. Fussy cut 1 (center section) flower die cut and leaves.

4. Layer two large hollyhocks die cuts together with foam adhesive.

5. Attach single hollyhock die cut to the center of the double hollyhocks with foam adhesive. Adhere to center of card with foam adhesive.

6. Adhere flower box die cut over the bottom of the hollyhocks with foam adhesive.

7. Attach sentiments with foam adhesive.

8. Adhere bow with double-sided adhesive.

There you have it! A lovely card with your Trelliage craft supplies. The die and folder set is still available on hsn.com. The Trelliage Die Cuts will be back in May.

How to Series: Wishful Thinking Card

Today we are continuing our series of how to videos in celebration of National Craft Month. Get out your Wishful Thinking Cutting Dies everyone, it is time to make a special birthday card! The best part about our Wishful Thinking die set is that you can customize a card specific to your needs!   • Double-sided Adhesive (Tape Runner)

Black and White Floral- 1.5”x4”

Blue and White Floral- 1.25”x4.5

Ivory Floral-1”x4.75” Layer

Green Floral- 1.25”x6.75

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut a notch on the right side of each floral strip.

2. Attach foil balloon sticker about .75” from left side of card.

3. Die cut words from fuchsia strips of cardstock. Adhere as follows:

  1. Happy – white floral strip
  2. 3rd – blue floral strip
  3. Birthday – ivory floral strip
  4. Grand Daughter – green floral strip

4. Adhere strips to card base overlapping white floral over blue floral, ivory floral over blue floral and ivory floral over green floral, using foam adhesive.

5. Adhere red floral embellishment just below balloons with double-sided adhesive.

6. Attach blue floral embellishment to left side of card with double-sided adhesive.

7. Adhere remaining red floral embellishment beneath the first red floral embellishment with adhesive.

8. Attach bow.

Your Hand Finished Christmas Cards

Hi everyone!

With the Thanksgiving holiday behind us, we just want you to know how THANKFUL we are for YOU each and every day.

By now, your holiday card making is running full speed ahead and a little design inspiration from our Glorious Greetings card making kit can make today more productive!

Want a little step by step?  From our Glorious Greetings card kit,  take out the white and gold patterned card, red and gold foil layer, Hearty Christmas Greetings die cut, red ornament sticker, green ornament sticker, holly sticker, gold bow and a gold flourish die cut. You will also need a ruler, scissors and adhesive.

Measure the red foil layer to 2.75″ x 4.5″ and cut to size. Adhere the Hearty Christmas Greetings die cut to the top with foam adhesive. Use a tape runner to adhere the gold flourish and Hearty Greetings Die cut layer to the gold and white card in the top left corner.

Decorate with the ornament and holly stickers. Finish by adding a gold bow to the top of the ornaments.

There you have it! Glorious Greetings makes it so easy!

Our next project has a completely different look. You’ll need the red, white and green patterned card, the green layer with holly border, a red and white striped paper rosette, two white bell stickers, ’tis the season sentiment sticker, red bow and foam adhesive and a tape runner.

Attach the green layer to the card with foam adhesive.

Adhere the ’tis the season sentiment sticker on top of the paper rosette to create a new embellishment!Adhere this to the top of the green layer with your tape runner.

Add the 2 white bell stickers underneath the rosette. For a finishing touch, add a red bow to the top of the bells with foam adhesive.
