Now we have a few tips and tricks when it comes to using your Acetate Cards for Everyday!

Tip #1: Ribbon

Attaching the acetate card overlay to a card base using ribbon is a fun way to attach the the two without using adhesive.

Tip #2: Matching Die-Cuts & Acetate

Acetate Cards for All Occasions and Vintage Garden Die-Cuts are designed to go together to create a layered, three-dimensional effect on your cards. Choose your favorite die cut from the set, and layer on top of the coordinating design on the acetate layer.

Tip #3: Embossing

Emboss a card stock layer and place it underneath the acetate. The texture shows through beautifully.

Tip #4: Add Volume, Dimension and Texture

Gently curl the edges of the die-cuts using the barrel of a pencil for a tighter curve.  Use larger barreled pens or markers to get a more gentle curve on your die cuts.

Tip #5: Brads

Using brads or grommets is a creative way to fasten sentiments and embellishments to the acetate layer while also holding layers together.

Tip #6: 3D Acetate

To give your card a three-dimensional effect, fussy cut a design out of the acetate and layer it over the duplicate design on the acetate card layer. Add height with foam adhesive to give your card texture.

Tip #7: Shaker Card

Acetate cards are great for making shaker cards! Follow the easy steps below to make your own shaker card. See full step by step from a previous how to here.

  1. Cut off the front or back of the acetate card.
  2. Fussy cut a border from card stock.
  3. Adhere card stock layer on top of acetate layer using double-sided tape.
  4. Place foam strips on a card stock card base in a rectangle. The strips should be placed about a half-inch in from each side.
  5. Die cut confetti.
  6. Fill the rectangle with confetti.
  7. Attach your acetate layer to the foam strips. The card stock border should cover the foam strips.
  8. Add embellishments and a sentiment.

Now that is a fun filled Friday! Join us right here on Monday for the last Product Preview before our shows and later in the week for your shopping list!

Love,

Anna
