How to: Valentine’s Day Shaker Card

Hi there,

It’s been a snowy couple of days here in Atlanta, which make for the perfect craft days! Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so make sure that you get out all your favorite heart, flower and loved themed crafting items to make something extra special for all of those near and dear to your heart! We love the tradition of sending sweet sentiments, and thought we would share one of our favorite cards using the Shaker Window Dies (Hearts) and our Shaker Supply Card Kit.

Let’s get to shakin’!

Using the Cricut® Cuttlebugand the Shaker Window Dies, cut the smallest heart from a scrap piece from the light pink card stock.

Emboss the small, light pink heart using the Cricut® Cuttlebug and Embroidered Hearts embossing folder.

Use the remaining scrap pieces of black floral, dark pink and light pink card stock to cut confetti hearts using the Valentine Confetti Die and the Cricut® Cuttlebug.

Pour the confetti into the foam-lined acetate layer from the Shaker Card Supply Kit.

Remove the liners from the foam strips to adhere the second piece of acetate, making a confetti pouch.

Assembly:

Using a tape runner, adhere the 5” wide pink and white script layer to the ivory card base.

Attach the confetti pouch to the center of the card using a tape runner along the edges of the pouch.

Adhere the black floral card stock to the front side of the confetti pouch using a tape runner.

Attach the light pink and dark pink heart outlines to the window of the card.

Using foam squares, attach the light pink embossed heart.

Attach the rose embellishments and sentiment.

We hope you have a lot of fun making this shaker card, and we would love to see your version on our Facebook page! We’re happy to end the week with Fan Mail Friday! Because of the delay with all the snow, next week’s installment will have even more of your gorgeous cards if you don’t see yours here this week.

Love,

Anna
